A simple plugin which replaces all instances of Twitter style syntax in your blogs posts, pages, and comments with links directly to the Twitter website for a simpler user experience.

The currently supported syntax is:

• @usernames – all username references will be converted to links to the relevant users profile
• #hashtags – these will be converted to links to twitters search, where users will be able to find related posts.

You have complete control over what links appear, and where. The settings page allows you to specify where (blog post/page/comment) and what (@username/#hashtags) links appear. Additionally you can specify for links to open in a new browser window, and the nofollow attribute to reduce the effect of spammers.
